An initial autopsy on the body of Pol Col Thitisan” Joe Ferrari” Utthanaphon has indicated the probable cause of death was suicide by hanging, according to the Central Institute of Forensic Science ( CIFS).
Dr Worawee Waiyawuth, deputy chairman of the CIFS under the Justice Ministry, said at a media briefing on Sunday the studies suggested Thitisan had used a little handkerchief as a improvised noose to take his own life.  ,
Asked if another wounds were found on the system, he said there was bruising on the back and leg, but they were from old wounds.
However, more laboratory tests on cell tests are needed to confirm this, he said.
Regarding traces found by Thitisan’s friends on the floor of his body in Klong Prem Central Prison when they came to see the figure, Dr Worawee said criminal officers believed the heart may have come out of the brain after his demise.  ,
Blood leakage from physical appendages is regular after death, he said.
” First, we have given fat to suicide by hanging as the probable cause of death.
” The mark around the neck matches the size of a little blanket believed to have been used to commit the work,” Dr Worawee said.
But, Weerasak Nakhin, Thitisan’s attorney, said Thitisan’s releavies may give the body for another post-mortem investigation at Chulalongkorn University for a second opinion.
Pol Maj Gen Jessada Suaysom, captain of the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Division 2, said authorities have been further examining data gathered at the picture of the dying, including CCTV images.
Thitisan, a policeman official convicted for the rape and killing of a medicine believe in 2021, was found hanged in his body at Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok on Friday evening.
On Saturday, the Department of Corrections issued a statement confirming prison officers were notified of Thitisan’s suicide on Friday around 8.30pm.
He was found slumped against his body door with” damaged hands and no signal,” the statement said. A blanket around his neck was tied to the battery door.
Thitisan had been sentenced to life imprisonment and had served three years and six months in Zone 5 of the jail.  ,
But, his friends do not think he took his own life, claiming earlier assault by a prison national while in confinement.
On Feb 26, his family lodged a complaint requesting an investigation after Thitisan was scolded and attacked by a watch for reporting an inmate for breaking the rules by watching sex on a cellular phone.
