Four Thais injured in South Korea in accidental air force bombing

Four Thai citizens were injured in South Korea when bombs dropped by fighter planes landed in a human area on Thursday, according to Foreign Affairs Ministry official Nikorndej Balankura.

The crash occurred during combined live-fire military activities in Pocheon, about 40 kilometres north of Seoul, near the strongly militarised borders with North Korea. &nbsp, Fifteen people were injured, with properties and a temple being damaged.

Four Thai people were reported wounded in the affair. One sustained injuries to hands and legs and was under care at a hospital in the city.

Three people were somewhat injured and were sent again to their house for healing.

North Korean companies may include all medical remedies, Mr Nikorndej said.

The South Korea Air Force has issued an apology for the incident, and said it would enable the wounded and those affected. The event was the first time citizens had been injured by the North Korean and US defense activities since the ending of Korean War, it said.

The Royal Thai Embassy contacted and talked to the hurt people and had carefully observe their circumstances, Mr Nikorndej said.
