Thailand repatriates hundreds more Chinese scam centre workers

Bangkok: On Thursday ( Mar 6), hundreds of Chinese nationals who had been freed from Myanmar’s online scam centers traveled through Thailand because the country said it would return 1,500 of these workers per week.

In recent months, Thailand, Myanmar, and China have been working to clean out improper cyberscam locations along the Thai-Myanmar frontier where thousands of immigrants, mostly Foreign nationals, have been residing.

Myanmar has repressed some of the ingredients, releasing around 7, 000 employees from more than 20 different nations, under the urging of alliance Beijing.

Around 600 Taiwanese citizens were flown back from Myanmar through Thailand two weeks ago, and the three nations held talks in Bangkok last week to negotiate for additional transfers.

On Thursday, Thai press released video of coaches loading Chinese workers onto Chinese-bound planes at Mae Sot airports and loading them onto Chinese-bound planes.

According to a spokesman for the Thai government, Nikorndej Balankura, “another class of Chinese immigrants” were repatriated on Thursday, but it is unknown how some.

He added that Thailand intends to “regular repatriations of Chinese immigrants every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday” and that it will return 1, 500 individuals per year, or 300 each week.

According to him, another foreign nationals, including Africans, will be repatriated on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the government coordinating with foreign embassies to assist with “immediate” repatriations.
