The Education Ministry announced on Thursday ( Mar 6 ) that the Singapore University of Social Sciences ( SUSS) will receive a new campus at the site of the former Rochor Centre by the mid-2030s. &nbsp,

According to the government, the school’s mobility will be made easier for both full-time students pursuing their second level and working adults seeking further education as a result of the central area.

When Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing in legislature detailed his agency’s spending plans for the year, SUSS offers programs that cater to various trainees, including working adults, and several classes are held after working hours. &nbsp,

SUSS is one of Singapore’s six automatic institutions. It offers five institutions, including more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs:

  • S R Nathan School of Human Development
  • School of Business
  • School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences
  • School of Law
  • School of Science and Technology

More than 22, 000 graduates have been SUSS’s since it became an autonomous school in 2017, according to Mr. Chan. &nbsp,

“SUSS is now spread across a number of rented properties, including its major one in Clementi. This design is not perfect, according to Mr. Chan. &nbsp,

” It is time for SUSS to have its own, consolidated school to accommodate its growing enrollment.”

The Rochor Center, which was renowned for its distinctive rainbow-colored stones, was constructed in 1977 and demolished in 2018 to create room for the North-South Corridor. &nbsp,
