On Tuesday, Fair Party MP Kannavee Suebsang reaffirmed the three words he claimed to have received from Uyghurs imprisoned in Thailand.
One of the words suggested that they had begged Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra to take the words to other nations but not to China.
He claimed that the words were from imprisoned Tamils, but the Department of Corrections dismissed them on Monday.
The DoC cited an analysis by Klongprem Central Prison, which the DoC claimed found no proof of the letters ‘ integrity, while Uyghur prisoners denied writing the letters at the center where they were detained next November, as Mr. Kannavee claimed.
Klongprem Central Prison authorities have also compared the prisoners ‘ real writing to those in Mr. Kannavee’s papers and found them to be absolutely different, in their opinion.

Two of the characters allegedly written by the prisoners were released by Mr. Kannavee on Friday, calling for the global community and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to ensure that they would not be returned to China because of health concerns. Another email was allegedly sent to the top asking for her assistance in order to get them back together with their families, who reportedly had been granted asylum in Turkey.
” I haven’t said that the DoC released these words correctly. According to Mr. Kannavee, I truly obtained them from some of the prisoners at Bangkok’s Suan Phlu immigration detention center.
The words came from a group of seven imprisoned Uyghurs, five of whom are still there, he said, while the other two have already been deported up to China, he said.
He claimed that they were written on paper with the DoC’s established stamp, which is typically sold to prisoners for one ringgit each.
However, government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub questioned why Mr. Kannavee didn’t write the letter to the PM in November claiming to had received it from the Uyghurs.
He further questioned Mr. Kannavee’s motivation to post these words on social media just despite having purchased them late last month.
