
PANNIR’S Event
Pannir was found guilty on May 2, 2017, of importing a total of 51.84 grams of cocaine into Singapore, and he was given a death sentence.
He was scheduled for murder on February 20, but he had requested permission to file a post-appeal software with the Court of Appeal.
After hearing the program, the Appellate Division determine Woo Bih Li on February 19 granted Pannir authority to file an appeal and, as a result, ruled in favor of a stay of execution.
The judge said he had given it until the legislation society’s investigation into Pannir’s former lawyer and the result of a legal challenge.
That decision was the latest in Pannir’s long-drawn struggle against his money punishment.
He filed an appeal after being found guilty and given a word, but the Court of Appeal rejected it on February 9, 2019.
After the departure, Pannir, his household and his attorneys submitted petitions for mercy to the president, who subsequently declined to ride the dying sentence.  ,
On May 24, 2019, Pannir and his relatives were informed that he would be put to death.  ,
Pannir also filed a second request for a stay of his murder three days before the scheduled murder, among other reasons.  ,
Pannir had time to submit his application and the keep was granted.  ,
Following that, he was a member of a group of inmates who filed a lawsuit against the Singapore Prison Service’s ( SPS) for the Attorney-General’s Chambers ( AGC ) for the release of prisoners ‘ correspondence to other people.  ,
The court , ruled in October 2024 , that the SPS and AGC had acted in violation of prisoners ‘ security by disclosing and retaining their words.
