A vehicle carrying people on a group study visit overturned on a downhill path in the Nadi area of Prachin Buri early on Wednesday, killing eight people and injuring 32 others.
The vehicle was one of three taking around 200 citizens from Bueng Kan state, beside the Mekong River, to Rayong,
The incident occurred around 3.20 am close kilometer markers 210 and 500 on Highway 304, according to the Prachin Buri road safety center. The driver lost power on a downhill area, the vehicle plunged off the road, down the slope and rejected.  ,
According to reports, 17 people died at the picture, and another was later identified as dead.  ,
Of the 32 injured, 19 were taken to Nadi Hospital and 13 to Kabin Buri Hospital.
On a 5-day research trip organized by the Phon Charoen Municipality in Bueng Kan, the crashed van was one of three that transported more than 200 individuals.
The cause of the accident was being looked into by authorities.
