In the case involving 44 MPs who wanted to amend Section 112 of the Criminal Code, Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn became the first MP to acknowledge charges against the National Anti-Corruption Commission ( NACC ) in the process.

The People’s Party ( PP ) MP visited the NACC on Friday after signing a petition to amend the law along with 43 other MPs from the PP, which was formerly the Move Forward Party.

Mr. Wiroj expressed worry about the timing of the call and said he expects the NACC to give him access to its information as is his straight.

He noted that those who live the closest to NACC were called in second, while those who live closer were called in after.

He even criticized the fee for calling some accused Members on a Wednesday or Thursday when the House of Representatives is often in treatment.

Mr. Wiroj emphasized that any honest review procedure should be conducted in accordance with the NACC’s individual standards and with transparency and fairness.

He also disclosed that he had written a letter asking for exposure to the allegations ‘ facts and that he anticipated that the request may be granted.

The plaintiffs may be given the right to review all the evidence against them because the accused should be treated identically to those charged in legal cases, according to the MP. Given that the NACC had taken more than a year to conduct its investigation, he even questioned the fairness of the 15-day deadline imposed on the accused MPs.
