The Cobra Gold joint military training 2025 will move from Feb 25 to March 7 in Thailand, with 3, 200 US workers participating.
On February 25, at 9 a.m., the Suranaree Camp in the Muang city of Nakhon Ratchasima will host the ceremony.
According to the press release from the US embassy, Cobra Gold is the largest joint and combined practice in the Indo-Pacific area and a clear illustration of the powerful alliance and proper relationship between Thailand and the US. It also serves as a case study of the strong collaborative spirit between the other participating allies and partners.
The countries represented have worked together on save, disaster recovery, and different reactions to some real-world difficulties and crises in the region.
This year’s exercise will consist of three main events: a command-and-control exercise, charitable political assistance projects, and a field training exercise that includes a variety of training events to boost interoperability and enhance local relationships.
About 30 governments will attend either straight or as observers. Some 3, 200 US workers will visit.
The US-Thai defense empire has a long history of Cobra Gold as its emblem. The exercise demonstrates our unwavering commitment to enhancing the necessary features and readiness to tackle the Indo-Pacific’s full range of security challenges up, the statement read.
The 44th incarnation of Cobra Gold will take place this year in Bangkok, and it is being co-hosted by the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
The cooperative security exercise will improve the ability of the participating countries to organize and execute combined and joint operations, foster interoperability across a range of activities across various domains, and respond to large-scale natural disasters and virtual security threats.
