New 110m cycling bridge opens in Jurong West

SINGAPORE: Jurong West’s second racing bridge has opened, reducing the amount of time it takes locals to get to the Jurong Innovation District. &nbsp,

The gate, spanning 110m in size and 8m in height, is the only cycling-permitted commuter bridge across the Pan Island Expressway in Singapore. &nbsp,

It will cut the Jurong Innovation District’s walking distance by 35 hours, making it simpler to get to places like Nanyang Technological University’s SJ Campus and the future MRT depot in CleanTech Park.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee, Nanyang Grassroots Organisations director Ang Wei Neng, and JTC CEO Tan Boon Khai officially opened the gate. &nbsp,

This development may effect about 63, 000 Jurong West residents, government professional organizer JTC said. &nbsp,
