In a matter of days, two well-known top Thai police officers were transferred to Bangkok while more studies are being conducted into possible hyperlinks between human trafficking and gambling in Myanmar.
Pol Maj Gen Ekkarat Intasueb and Pol Maj Gen Samrit Aimkamol were given the order by federal authorities chief Kittharath Punpetch on Tuesday to walk to the capital’s police headquarters with immediate effect.
Before the transport commands were signed, Pol Maj Gen Ekkarat, 53, served as the acting mind of a geographical division of the Inspector General Office in charge of some northern regions, including Tak. He is a very well-known number in Tak’s borders region, where he was previously the Mae Sot district’s police chief.
