SEOUL: A child in South Korea died on Monday ( Feb 10 ) after she was stabbed in an elementary school, local media reported.  ,
According to local media reports, police in the area of Daejeon were looking into the situation while a person in her 40s was named as a suspect in the stabbing. The girl also had attack scars. A Reuters request for information was not instantly responded to by authorities.
The child, a seven-year-old woman, was found in respiratory imprisonment with stab wounds in the neck and face, a local fire department official told Reuters.
Local media reported that the child passed away after being taken to a hospital and that she was a professor there. The girl was hospitalised, the flames national said.
The girl later admitted being at fault for the murder, according to the Yonhap news agency. She had taken a leave of absence from work when, according to Yonhap, she had returned to work late last year while she was struggling with depression.
