A 22-year-old gentleman was detained on Sunday night in Singapore after allegedly trying to rape a pastor at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Upper Thomson Road.
Following the incident, which occurred after Mass during distribution, the police claimed they received a call for assistance at 10.35 am.
According to initial studies, the Singaporean Chinese guy is a typical churchgoer.
He  was quickly detained by religion safety personnel before being handed over to responding officers officials. No weapon was found in his hands, and the priest did certainly sustain any injury.
The suspect has been detained for public annoyance, according to a statement from the police, and he will be referred to the Institute of Mental Health ( IMH) for further evaluation.
Authorities also advised the government to stay away from speculation as studies progress.
