Investigators are attempting to locate the event that is thought to have occurred in a border town in Myanmar.
Thai police are looking for the cause of a popular movie that purports to show a call center employee in a frontier city in Myanmar being viciously assaulted by a gang.
The video, released by the Drama-addict Facebook website, which has 3.3 million followers, shows a gentleman, whose hands are tied, being kicked and stomped on and beaten with a tough thing. It runs for almost four days.
According to Drama-addict, the rape was committed by people of the call center gang that employed the victim. The Police Cyber Taskforce supplied the picture to the Twitter page for people supply, according to Drama-addict, which has since removed it.
A Chinese group was reportedly operating out of a building in the border town of Myanmar, directly in front of the Mae Sot region of Tak state, behind a business called Zhongfa.
The building homes at least 800 phone heart con employees of different countries, including Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Ethiopians, Ugandans, Chinese, Kenyans and Thais. According to reports, a detective allegedly filmed the video while digging through the roof vents in the tower.
Borders officers were attempting to locate the location of the attack, according to Pol Gen Thatchai Pitaneelaboot, inspector general of the Royal Thai Police. They also had alerted Myanmar’s government to get assistance.
Authorities are also reviewing the picture to ascertain its authenticity.
