Off the coast of Ranong state, sailors from Myanmar were discovered operating in Thai waters.
Two fishing vessels with Myanmar personnel people were reported to have entered the waters west of Koh Khang Khao in Ranong on Friday after the 3rd Naval Area Command received an initial seizure of the two. On Saturday night, two Royal Thai Navy vessels led the fishers to a nearby deep-sea interface.
Seven Myanmar citizens have been confirmed aboard. They were searched, and their wireless devices were confiscated for investigation.
One of the vessels ‘ captain did not have any sea documents, and his ship’s art did not fly a flag, according to the investigation. No hunting gear was discovered in the boat’s keep, which raises questions about illegal activity.
The next vessel was a deep-hulled ship with three vehicles. Eight 200-litre fuel tanks that had not been reported to the traditions were in the vehicle.
The team members initially faced five charges, including energy smuggling, entering Thailand without authorization, and not having the appropriate registration.
A second research is being conducted.
One man perished in a group of Thai fish boats when a Myanmar military police boat opened fire on them on November 30 last year off the coast of Ranong, killing all of the crew members on board. Seven of the Thai fishermen were among the injured.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this month that Thai officials were also working to appoint a release force for the four Thai fishing.
In Kawthaung, a frontier town in Myanmar, are the crew members being detained.
