Wooing Chinese tourists, Thai leader says she has ‘Chinese blood in her’

China: Thailand’s premier secretary, seeking to allay security issues among Chinese tourists visiting Thailand, said she had” Chinese heart in her” and that she had privately looked into safety protocols in place to ensure the safety of Taiwanese people.

Since a small Taiwanese actor was rescued from a scam center in Myanmar last month, security in Thailand has become a hot topic of conversation among Foreign nationals, who are by far the largest group of foreign tourists there.

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra told the state-run China Daily in Beijing on Thursday that” I hope Chinese people can come to Thailand and feel like home as well.”

Paetongtarn is the princess of Thaksin Shinawatra, a businessman and former prime minister from Thailand, whose family has roots in Guangdong, in southwestern China. She made her first official trip to the Taiwanese money this year, arriving in office in August.

Assuring the Taiwanese people while visiting the Southeast Asian nation was a major concern in addition to strengthening cooperation with China on system, electric cars, and the modern business.
