Four police injured in Pattani bomb blast

Four officers were hurt when a weapon went off at a police station in the southern border state of Pattani on Friday night.

The soldiers were riding two motorcycles along the Don Yang-Hat Yai road when the weapon detonated near a Bang Chak gas station, according to Nong Chik police chief Pol Col Phattanachai Palasuwan. Around 7.30am, the incident was reported.

The force of the explosion injured Pol Sgt Maj Nopphon Raksaphram, Pol Cpl Anucha Khwanthong-on, Pol Sgt Maj Chatmongkhol Nutsri and Pol Cpl Keelarat Thongma. &nbsp,

Both Pol Sgt. Maj. Nopphon and Pol Cpl. Anucha suffered serious injuries.

Tomorrow officers were examining the place while carrying out explosive ordnance disposal checks. &nbsp,
