As part of the Office of Narcotics Control Board’s ( ONCB) drug eradication efforts, more than 27 tons of narcotics will be disposed of on Thursday.
Apikit Chrojprasert, assistant secretary-general of the ONCB, along with authorities and other authorities, on Tuesday attended an event to plan for a large-scale combustion of the illegal medications.
He said the overall weight of the confiscated medications during the past two months was 27.51 tonnes seized in 151 cases, including meth, crystal meth, heroin, morphine, heroin, joy, “happy waters”, and other substances.
Working with various organizations, the ONCB has coordinated efforts to ensure that every step of the death process is conducted honestly and under close supervision, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, the Department of Medical Sciences, the Police Forensic Science Office, and the Bridge Police Division.
Mr. Apikit claimed that all seized medicines are subject to rigorous scientific testing to verify their veracity before being destroyed.
The procedure purely adheres to ONCB rules, giving the public assurance that these narcotics may be eliminated.
The medicine burning ceremony will take place at Akkhie Prakarn Public Co Ltd in Samut Prakan, according to the top, who has made medicine destruction a national priority.
The ONCB did live-stream the whole process on its social media platforms, he added, allowing the general public to see and take part in the fight against cocaine.
