In 18 provincial administrative organizations ( PAO ), the ruling Pheu Thai Party won the presidency, and Bhumjaithai, its coalition partner, won 12 seats. The primary opposition party, the People’s Party, won only one in Sunday’s PAO vote.
The PAO election took place in 47 of 77 Thai regions on Sunday.
Illegal findings show that independent candidates won six Hua political votes, the Democrat Party four seats, Chartthaipattana and Prachachat two seats each, and Palang Pracharath and the United Thai Nation one chair each.
Amazingly, the People’s Party only managed to win one PAO political seat in Lamphun, in the province’s northern province.
According to social observers, powerful political parties that are supported by democratic parties seized significant portions of the PAO national seats.
Prior to the elections, former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra supported prospects for Pheu Thai, led by his girl, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, in some regions.
They included Chiang Rai, which Thaksin visited on many occasions.
Pheu Thai won just in Chiang Mai, Thaksin’s local state.
