Authorities in a temple on Koh Phangan have detained four Myanmar residents for operating an illegal Burmese language class for 190 Myanmar children.
According to Pol Maj Charoenchai Boonkliang, an analytical inspector for Surat Thani officers, police and local administrative officers discovered the school inside the Koh Phangan International Church on Tuesday.
There were 190 Myanmar kids present, older 3-12 years. Authorities also found 31 Speaking- and Burmese-language books.
Authorities arrested Aye Mya Thu Zar, 40, Yan Naing Soe, 31, Mya Mya Win, 33, and Chit Phyo Naung, 21, who were charged with illegally operating the class. Additionally, two of them were charged with working without a force.
According to Pol Maj Charoenchai, the school opened six months ago and kids on Koh Phangan were Myanmar staff ‘ children. The class charged 300 ringgit a time for each pupil.
He said officers were looking for the real landlord of the school and do find out if the parents of the Myanmar children had work permits.  ,
Last year regulators closed six Burnese-language institutions in this southern state.
Prior to this, native education authorities had previously stated that Thai schools may educate children from Myanmar, but entrance was challenging for those whose parents were illegal immigrants.
