Body found almost a quarter after a Loei professional college graduate reported missing.

Maris Sangiampongsa, the foreign affairs minister, on Tuesday ordered Japanese authorities to look into the death of a Thai apprentice whose body was discovered at a Thai diner in Hiroshima next year.
The body of Kornnaphat Promsung, 25, was found nearly a fortnight after he was reported missing by his friends.
The Loei state native had just graduated from Loei Technical College and was set to start his three-year internship with Hiroshima’s Ota Chuzosho Co. in April.
On December 21, 2024, Kornnaphat had a party at a business employee’s dorm, according to his aunt Nannaphat Tanming, who had earlier reported this.
After the celebration, Kornnaphat and his associates visited a Thai restaurant in Hiroshima, about 50 miles from his work. He called his sweetheart at the restaurant on a video phone, and they exchanged messages until around 2am on December 22 Thailand time.
Kornnaphat vanished from the cafe later that night, according to the uncle.
Ms. Nannaphat claimed to have called the restaurant’s control to inquire about her brother’s locations, but it was unsuccessful. Local authorities later looked through local accident reports and discovered no evidence of Kornnaphat somewhere.
Last year, she said, she was informed that Kornnaphat had been found dead on a hearth leave at the restaurant.
She claimed that she had contacted the ministries of international affairs and labor to ask for help with the investigation into her brother’s death and his body but had not received a response.
