Lynn Ban: Singaporean star of Bling Empire dies after ski accident

Lynn Ban, a star jewellery designer from Singapore who starred in the Netflix reality show Bling Empire, has died a month after undergoing mental operation for a mountain injury. She was 51.

Her brother Sebastian confirmed her dying on an Instagram post on Wednesday, where he paid tribute to his grandmother as a “best companion and the best family”.

The crash happened in Aspen in the US on Christmas Eve.

Ban’s home did not reveal her quick cause of death.

In a social media post on New Year’s Eve, Ban had revealed that while riding at the top of a hill she had fallen and” experience planted”.

As she was wearing a hat, “it didn’t seem that bad at the time and I was able to mountain to the base,” she had said, adding that a mountain police officer after checked for a trauma and cleared her.

But she still had” a bit of a pain” and decided to go to a doctor, on the guidance of a nurse. She subsequently discovered she had a mind bleed, and went for an emergency craniotomy.

Born in Singapore, Ban had worked in New York, London and Paris.

Her designs have been worn by music actors Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Cardi B and Billie Eilish, according to her site.

On Bling Empire New York in 2023, she was portion of a cast of Eastern American celebrities who “flaunt their riches— and clothes — while bringing the play and living it up in New York City”, according to Netflix.

In his gift, Sebastian Ban said he wanted the world to know who his grandmother was as a man.

” She always had a smile on her face yet when times are tough during her treatment process,” he said.

” She is a fighter until the finish and is the strongest person I know,” he said.
