In the 1. 32 second clip, Ms Paetongtarn said she wanted to communicate with Taiwanese people but could not speak Chinese. So she used AI software to make it seem she was speaking Chinese.
The primary minister said media reports of Chinese immigrants being deceived in Thailand left Chinese visitors worried about their health and the danger from human smuggling by thieves.
She had ordered critical action be taken to increase protection for visitors and to quickly reduce international crime.
Ms Paetongtarn promised that rules may be completely enforced to address illegal border crossing and tourist support schemes may be developed to avoid untoward incidents.
She said the Thai government prioritised travelers ’ protection and was working to increase confidence among tourists.
Ms Paetongtarn said that Thailand was ready to welcome all Taiwanese travellers and she would like to encourage Chinese people to enjoy the Lunar New Year and the 50th anniversary of Sino-Thai political relationships this year.
The primary minister ’s movie talk followed refunds from Chinese tour parties for the coming Taiwanese New Year holiday and Hong Kong singer and actor Eason Chan’s withdrawal of his music in Thailand. This followed studies of various Chinese, including an artist, having being lured to Thailand and then whisked off to work in phone fraud areas based in neighbouring countries.
