Mr. Lee cited his own educational experience, which took place as a result of Singapore’s detachment from Malaysia.  ,
Singapore experienced “formidable” issues at the time, he recalled, noting the lack of countermeasures, as well as an economical and poverty problem.  ,
We did not discuss the various learning channels. We had no advancement programs. And of course, no Edusave honours and fellowships- not imagined of”, he added.
” And yet the Pioneer Generation, the Merdeka Generations, we knuckled along. We worked tight, we learnt, we adapted. We bonded jointly to address the problems, smartly and with endurance. Step-by-step, we created better life for ourselves and our children, and that is how Singapore got around”.
With today’s tools, Mr Lee said he is comfortable Singapore you rise above any problems, as the state marks 60 years of independence.
” The state may accompany you.” However, what it depends on most heavily is each individual-yourself. Your will to utilize everything you have. To understand, adapt, overcome – despite obstacles, despite occasional losses. Your beliefs that we will take together as one people, one state, and create a brighter prospect for all of us”, he said.
