The defendant was a specialist at the time of the crimes, which dates from 2019 to 2021, according to the court. He lived with the prey, her two sons, and the victim’s family.
He sexually assaulted his child for the first time between July 31 and August 9, 2019. During that time, the defendant’s family was absent visiting family in India.
The victim was playing games on her cellphone while lying on the floor of her room after returning from college.
Her dad entered the room and sat down next to her. He sexually assaulted her after briefly watching her play video games before touching her foot.
This happened suddenly around Oct 1, 2019. After finishing her final Primary School Leaving Examination ( PSLE ) paper, the victim returned home and consumed muffins to distract herself.
The woman and her parents were leaving their homes at night by themselves. When he entered her room, sat next to her, and sexually assaulted her while playing sports on her mobile.
He sexually assaulted her once more between October and December 2019.
From around 2020 forward, the defendant’s family started working day swings as a security guard, and would be at work from about 7pm to 7am.
When her mother was working, the sufferer slept only in a room, her boys shared another room, and her dad slept on a seat in the living space.
The girl’s father had the key, but she would occasionally plug the girl’s room door at night. In 2020 and 2021, he allegedly molestered the victim at least twice in the evening and entered her home.
He likewise sent her a sexual video in 2021, which she downloaded and watched without realizing it. She reacted quickly and took the picture down.
The woman was distressed by the notion that her parents would continue to mole her in her room at night.
She stayed awake all night to avoid him entering her bedroom, but she became sleepy and persisted in her ideas.
She initially feared and detested her husband’s steps, but she only learned that his actions were wrong when she received sex education in secondary school.
She feared reporting the abuse, though, because her father had a fiery temper and was worried he may reprimand or beat her. She argued that others would view her negatively.
Around midnight on Jul 26, 2021, when her mother was at work, the girl’s parents entered her room and molested her. When she instructed him to halt, he ignored her and pushed his hand aside.
He therefore began to undress. Frightened of what he might do, the sufferer left the apartment quickly. She just came back and locked the door after he had left the room.
This event caused the victim to be very unhappy. According to the prosecution, she believed that her papa was not going to stop the abuse and that she could never take it anymore.
The woman informed her former teacher about the sexual assaults that occurred on July 27, 2021 at the next prospect.
Her father was later detained, and the Ministry of Social and Family Development ( MSF ) officers brought her to file a police report.
A doctor at the Institute of Mental Health ( IMH) assessed that the criminal was a crime, and found him fit to confess.
The victim, who claimed she did not like her father to return to her family and could never believe him afterwards, was affected by the physical abuse.
She claimed that he entered her apartment without knowing what to do because she was constantly dreadful and afraid. When he started to contact her, she had firmly close her eyes, pretend to be drowsy, and yell.
” I’m in this trend inside of me. Whenever I think of what had happened, how he betrayed my faith and did this to me as a father, I did jump. When I think about all this, I also cry and break down when I think about it,” she said in a victim impact speech.
She was concerned about what men or boys would do to her, and she also felt unwilling to trust them any longer.
