On Dec 8, Kim Yong-hyun, who had resigned as defence secretary weeks prior, is arrested over his position in the martial law charter. The internal secretary quits.
The main criticism group says it will attempt to try to remove the president from office once more on December 14.
The justice department announced the following morning that Yoon could not travel internationally.
Yoon asserts that the opposition had caused South Korea to experience a “national issue” on December 12th.
Dec 14: Yoon impeached
Out of 300 politicians, 204 voted to oust Yoon and 85 voted against the action.
While the North Korean Constitutional Court has six times to deliberate on the ballot, Yoon has been removed from office.
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo becomes the government’s standing head.
Scenes of joy are followed by the vote in front of the parliament building, where tens of thousands of demonstrators are seen in jubilation.
