Indonesia plans minimum age for social media use

JAKARTA: &nbsp, Indonesia plans to issue a restriction to set a maximum time for users of social media, a move aimed at protecting kids, its communications minister has said.

The plans follow Australia’s determination to forbid children under the age of 16 from using social media, and they also include fines for tech giants like Instagram and Facebook’s Meta to TikTok if they didn’t stop kids from using their platforms.
