Eligible lower-income households can apply for public transport vouchers worth S$60 from Jan 14

SINGAPORE: &nbsp, Eligible households will be able to apply for public transport vouchers ( PTV ) worth S$ 60 ( US$ 44 ) from Tuesday ( Jan 14 ).

The vouchers this year are worth more than those in the previous year ( S$ 50 ) and&nbsp, will be distributed to&nbsp, more households.

The income threshold for the tickets has been raised, making them available to homeowners with a regular household income of not more than S$ 1, 800, an increase from the previous S$ 1, 600. &nbsp,

It was announced in September 2024 that an extra 60, 000 families would stand to benefit from the certificates, amid&nbsp, a 10-cent suffer hike&nbsp, per trip on public transportation for people.

Like in past times, the&nbsp, 2024&nbsp, PTV training is being carried out in two phases, &nbsp, the Ministry of Transport and People’s Association said on Monday.

The exercise’s initial phase was finished in December 2024. About&nbsp, 270, 000 families that had received a ticket during the 2023 training and&nbsp, continue to meet the income registration factor have received real or digital&nbsp, warning letters.

Households who meet the income eligibility criteria but did not receive a voucher during the first stage can apply for PTVs online or in person at their neighborhood community centers or clubs (CCs ) during the second stage, which starts on Tuesday and runs until October 31.

Households who require extra assistance, including those who did not qualify under the household income registration criterion, may also file an appeal online or in person at their neighborhood CC.

Those who have received a PTV warning letter can use the instructions on the email to unlock their voucher at any SimplyGo Ticket Office, Top-Up Kiosk, Assisted Service Kiosk, or SimplyGo Ticketing Service Center.

Tickets for the 2024 PTV Exercise are true until Mar 31, 2026, the officials said. People may contact their neighborhood CCs if they have any concerns.
