Border patrol intercepts scam-bound Chinese men

Tak: Two Chinese nationals were detained yesterday by soldiers patrolling the Phop Phra city of Phop Phra, preventing them from becoming victims of call-center scam gangs, according to local authorities.

When a police from the Naresuan Task Force stopped the men, who were 27 and 36, as they were heading toward the frontier and being transported into the neighboring nation.

They received lodging while their cousins were contacted while being taken to Mae Sot police station to report issues. After arriving at Suvarnabhumi aircraft, the pair made their way to Sangat.

This comes after 39 international citizens who claimed to be members of a call center crew were rescued by Thai officials in a border police activity in late November.

They claimed they had been duped into crossing the Thai border to operate on a job in Myawaddy, the border city of Myanmar opposite Tak’s Mae Sot, which is regarded as an operating foundation for call center groups.

Older Naresuan Task Force officer Col Natthakorn Ruantip reported yesterday that plenty of foreign citizens found close to the border had been detained for illegal access since October of last year. These people were from 21 countries, including China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Ethiopia and India.

As police check two more instances of missing Foreign nationals, studies of international citizens disappearing in Thailand have attracted a lot of attention.

A female design, Yang Zeqi, went missing in soon December, while the removal of a young girl, Wu Jiaqi, was reported to police this year. Both are suspected to be survivors of human trafficking.

Chinese professional Wang Xing, or Xingxing, vanished last week after being invited to an interview at Suvarnabhumi aircraft from Shanghai Pudong aircraft. He was last seen near the border in Tak’s Mae Sot on Friday, and finally, he was located in Myanmar. He made a trip back to Thailand prior this year.
