After a client complained on social media, the Phuket International Airport responded to claims that its Subway keep had overcharged.
On Wednesday, a TikTok user named Naynaysully shared a , video expressing anger over a £72 cost for three sandwiches, creating:” What in the deceiving hell is going on below? Avoid Phuket airports”.
The client, who had refused to pay, was confronted by Subway employees in the International Terminal’s departure lounge. The picture was called in by airport security and officers.
Over 4 million people viewed the blog in just two days, which gave the audience a combined response.
Some people criticized the charges as being too high, while others urged the consumer to present a ticket, to which she replied that she had not received one.
Other commenters made the point that rates are usually higher at airports and were clearly displayed at the shop.
In reaction, the carrier’s Facebook page issued a statement on Thursday clarifying the company’s prices.
The Subway shop obviously displays its prices and adheres to its agreement agreement, according to airport management.
” The particular case in question involved a customer’s order that included more customisations such as more meat and cheese, as well as cookies and drink, which increased the overall price beyond that of regular menu services”, it explained.
Some people speculated that there may have been a confusion between the team and the client because her claims did not match what was displayed in a photograph shared by the airport that showed the customer’s order totalling 3,152 baht.
The buyer claimed in another movie that was posted on TikTok that she ended up paying 1,500 bass and received a portion of her purchase before taking off for her flight.
