South Korea presidential security chief warns against violent attempt to arrest Yoon

The impeached leader, who is facing arrest over a criminal investigation into his Dec. 3 martial law bid, was unfairly treated for a sitting leader, according to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s security chief on Friday ( Jan 10 ) and warned bloodshed must be avoided.

The Presidential Security Service ( PSS) head, Park Chong-jun, is also being investigated for obstructing official duties as a result of a six-hour standoff between PSS agents and Yoon-related investigators last week.

Arriving at police headquarters for questioning, Park, who is a former senior officers standard, said the latest attempt to arrest a sitting president is bad and Yoon deserved care “becoming of” the country’s standing.
