Reyn Teng, a Facebook user by the name of Reyn Teng, claimed she had seen many wounded and dead cats appear in the same area over the course of several days since Monday in a Facebook post about the incident.
She saw two animals at the window ledge of one of the products on Wednesday after witnessing a rabbit fall from a slope at the wall. She therefore contacted NParks, SPCA and the officers.
She continued, claiming that the NParks agent had arranged for a locksmith to unlock the unit’s door. ” When we opened the door, it was shocking to see there were cats, rubbish, poo and pee everywhere”, she wrote.
” I would like to congratulate the SPCA and NParks team for doing their absolute best to get the cat out of the house. The situation inside the house was very poor, the odor was terrible. They don’t open the door or panels so they had to withstand the taste and get those animals in darkness”, she added.
The system had housed a full of 19 animals, with 12 rescued from the system, she wrote.
“NParks takes all animal welfare circumstances really and looks into any feedback we receive. We will take legal action against anyone who has abandoned their dog, failed to take suitable care of it, or committed dog violence and abuse,” said Ms. Kwok.
Members of the public can immediately report any alleged animal violence or injury to NParks, she continued.
” As with all studies, all forms of evidence are vital to the procedure, and picture and/or video-graphic evidence provided by the government may help”.
