Phu Kradueng reopening planned before Christmas

Decision is anticipated on Monday as work is being done to travel wild elephants following the traveler’s death.

According to authorities, Phu Kradueng National Park is expected to resume before Dec. 25 for visitors to observe the popular mountain’s New Year’s Day in Loei territory.

According to Attapon Charoenchansa, head of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, park soldiers and other officials are making an all-out efforts to relocate wild animals to protected places far from the designated areas as tourist spots.

A critical meeting will be held on Monday on the hill in the northern province’s Phu Kradueng area to assess the situation. According to Mr. Attapon, who spoke on Friday, the choice on the time to resume the playground may be made on that day.

He further stated that safety for visitors will not be compromised and that they would be assured of healthy treks up to the top and on all mountain trails.

After a tourist was killed by a crazy elephant in slump on Wednesday, the office on Thursday ordered the area to remain closed starting on Friday.

Park manager Addison Hemthanon stated on Thursday that the shutdown may continue until the scenario stabilises.

After the last party of about 700 tourists who had been camping that on Friday night, the hilly area has since stopped.
