Allu Arjun: Indian actor arrested after fan dies in crowd crush

Allu Arjun, a well-known artist from Telugu, was detained by police in India after he had a love at the film’s premiere earlier this month.

In the love that occurred on December 4th during the testing of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad’s southern city, a 39-year-old woman was killed and her brother was critically injured.

When the artist made a wonder look at the Sandhya Theatre at the end of the screen, panic broke out.

The actor, his security staff, and the theater’s management staff were being sued by police on suspicion of criminal homicide.

The theater’s landlord and two workers have already been taken into custody.

On Friday, the officers arrived at the director’s home and took him into prison, following which he was produced in a regional court.

In India, accidents involving big crowds have been reported frequently, despite previous fatalities caused by poor health practices and crowd management. However, it’s uncommon for major celebrities to be detained in such a situation.

Allu Arjun apparently arrived at the theater at 9.30pm IST by using the principal gate.

Hyderabad’s police chief, CV Anand, stated that neither the theater management nor the actor’s group had any information that they would be coming to the theater.

Additionally, there were no more accommodations for the actor’s team to handle the crowd and no individual entry or exit. According to a police speech,” His private security team started pushing the community, which further aggravated the situation as there was now a large gathering at the theater.”

As panic broke out, a 39-year-old woman and her nine-year-old child were pulled out of the audience as they felt” strangled”, authorities said.

They received first aid right away before being taken to the hospital for further attention.

Her brother was transferred to a different hospital where he is still receiving care while the girl passed away there.

The artist has not yet commented on the officer’s claims.

But shortly after the incident, he took to X, previously Twitter, saying that he was “heartbroken by the dreadful event”.

” I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family members at this unfathomably hard day. They will join the family personally, he wrote, and I want to tell them that they are not the only ones going through this.

He later announced assistance of 2.5m rupees ($ 29, 480, £23, 346 ) for the woman’s family and promised to take care of the medical expenses for her son.

The studio behind the film, Mythri Movie Makers, added in a statement that” we are committed to standing by them and extending all possible support during this difficult day.”

Arjun had earlier this month contacted the court to challenge the police’s complaint against him, but it hasn’t yet been heard.
