On suspicion of producing sexual video in Thailand that were distributed internationally, four foreigners and three Thais have been detained.
Pol Maj Gen Sarut Kwaengsopha, captain of the Anti-Trafficking in People Division, released information on Monday. He claimed that the arrests resulted from a continuing investigation into the production of sex video in Thailand.
The defendants were arrested differently in Bangkok, Chon Buri and at , Suvarnabhumi aircraft in Samut Prakan on Sunday.
Police say they were a part of a gang that produced sexual content in Thailand, including taking Thai women to different locations on tuktuks and taking them on sex videos.
The group also worked with Thai sexual authors, who were renowned online, Pol Maj Gen Sarut said.
The movies were sold globally through online channels, which could negatively affect Thailand’s picture, he said.
The international suspects were named as American national Benjamin John Wilkinson, 40,  , Andrei Gerbennikov, 34, a Russian, Volker Matthias, 48, a European, and Zvezdan Stojanov, 32, a Spanish. The three Thais were , Sangtien Wongkaew, 26, Thanasin Sathantip, 30, and Rattana Ritprat, 36.
Most of them admitted to all the charges, according to the mind of the imprisoning group, Pol Col Pattanapong Sripinproh.
One suspect’s hands included a number of movies featuring minors, according to Pol Col Pattanapong.  ,
