Mediacorp announces Netflix deal for The Little Nyonya spin-off, will also create Singapore edition of kids’ show Blippi

Have you ever had a Mediacorp play dream? Well, your dreams could be a move closer to reality thanks to the previously announced&nbsp, Inkspiration program. Through training sessions and mentoring, Inkspiration, which is supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority ( IMDA ), aims to find and develop the next generation of Chinese storytellers. There’s also an option for selected runs to come to life on Mediacorp’s systems.

Serious applicants can post their ideas for Chinese contrived articles with Singapore elements at this website from now until Feb. 28, 2025. Mentorship programs and masterclasses led by seasoned scriptwriters and industry experts will be offered to those with the most powerful concepts.

In these sessions, creators may learn the art and methods of writing expert script, from developing convincing narratives to creating genuine dialogue.

After five weeks, mentor will have the opportunity to present and make their stories to a panel of industry professionals. Six selected projects will then move on to the production stage, where participants may enter the manufacturing world and watch their concepts develop into pilot episodes.

Through this fresh story program, we want to give local Chinese scriptwriters the resources to unleash their creativity, advance their ship, and generate new ideas from page to display, said Virginia Lim.

” This is a significant step in Mediacorp’s commitment to expand and nourish Singapore’s creative ecosystem,” and we look forward to working with and developing talented scriptwriters to create powerful stories that may shape the growth of our industry’s future.”
