‘Many’ suspects in resort land case

According to Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat Pankaew, deputy commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau ( CIB ), there are numerous potential suspects in the case of a luxury resort constructed on land owned by landless farmers in Nakhon Ratchasima and Saraburi.

Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat, however, said he could n’t offer more details about this part of the luxury resort case because the Anti-Money Laundering Office ( Amlo ) was responsible for naming the people suspected of being involved.

The resort’s controller has not yet responded to requests for the police to provide them with documents requesting permission to use the property for operating the hotel business, according to Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat, who stated that the police have already conducted a raid on the resort.

However, Srisawad Corporation Plc’s CEO Chatchai Kaewbootta refuted media reports that his business may be involved in some way with the improper luxury resort industry.

In response to inquiries about some transactions made by Srisawad Corporation’s girl company to some people suspected of being involved in the hotel activity, Mr. Chatchai responded that these transactions were a portion of a total of 1.45 billion ringgit distributed to numerous investors who had invested in the company’s SAWAD236C commercial bond between January 27, 2021 and June 13, 2023.

Whoever made a public connection to the pleasure hotel incident as a result of Mr. Chatchai’s threat to file a lawsuit against him.
