According to UAE adviser to Thailand, Obaid Saeed Obaid Bintaresh Aldhaheri, the UAE is preparing to mark some intergovernmental agreements with Thailand in an effort to improve ties between the two nations.
Mr. Aldhaheri stated at a ceremony on Thursday to mark the UAE’s National Day, which fell on Monday. He claimed that the UAE values Thailand as an essential companion with whom the UAE has established powerful diplomatic ties beyond the fuel industry. He noted the UAE is Thailand’s sixth-largest trading partner and most important trading partner in the Middle East, with trade between the two valued at US$ 7 billion ( 241.4 billion baht ) in 2023– an increase of about 9 % from the previous year’s figure.
Dubai carriers are also major players in Thailand’s aircraft market, with over 110 planes between the countries each year, he said.
He stated,” We look forward to strengthening diplomatic relations and expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries in order to advance the interests of the people.”
