SINGAPORE: A pair of fans who reconnected more than ten years ago, started an adulterous relationship.  ,
But after the 43-year-old person ended the matter, her rejected lover Chong Shiong Hui attacked her with a razor and helicopter, leaving the girl completely scarred.  ,
On Thursday ( Nov 28 ), Chong entered a guilty plea to an attempted murder charge. He may get sentencing himself on two evil counts that relate to his earlier crimes.  ,
The prosecutors sought 16 to 18 years ‘ prisons and five or six stroke of the wood, while his attorney, Joyce Khoo, argued for around 10 years ‘ prison along with five strokes of the wood.  ,
RECONNECTED AFTER 15 YEARS
Chong and Joey Lee reportedly met about 20 years earlier, according to the jury. They recently dated, but their relationship ended in 2002.  ,
In August 2017, the pair reconnected. By therefore, both were now married.  ,
The victim’s father finally made the discovery in November 2018.  ,
In November 2019, the target decided to end the matter.  , She sent Chong a message on Nov 28, 2019, to suggest that she “wanted to take a break from their relationship”, Deputy Public Prosecutor Andre Chong told the jury.  ,
Over the next two times, Chong constantly threatened to upset the prey, her then-six-year-old girl, her husband, or himself.  ,
Chong continued to message the victim and threaten to create her” a widow” after having a drink with his wife on November 29. He slept after taking a sleeping aid, or sleeping aid.  ,
The next day, after a visit to the target went unanswered, Chong went to her house after 4am, bringing along a helicopter. He even brought two jars of diesel, smoking and a lighter.  ,
He deflated the tires on her husband’s cars when he arrived at the victim’s block because he did n’t want him to follow him later. He poured water and whiskey straight into a jug.  ,
He eventually switched off the principal move to the victim’s unit. After realizing that Chong’s enthusiast had stopped working, the victim’s home helper noticed her leaving the room.  ,
When no one responded, Chong returned to his vehicle and fell asleep.  ,
He called the target and her father at around 7am, but he was unable to speak to her. He continued to harass her and also posted a picture of the car and truck.  ,
The target then requested a meeting with Chong at his parents ‘ home and threatened to not harm her.  ,
She intended to inform the accused’s relatives about their relationship and request that his parents control the accused, but she did not take the accused’s risks significantly. If that is what she wanted, the accused asked her to go to his parents ‘ house, according to the prosecution.  ,
THE ASSAULT
On November 30, 2019, Chong arrived at his parents ‘ home to wait for the victim at around 1 p.m. A fruit weapon, a helicopter, and gasoline were all in the car, which he had with him. A knife from his parents ‘ house was even taken and placed on a stand next to the helicopter.  ,
When the survivor arrived only at 1.25 p.m., she pleaded with Chong to let her in outside the front gate, which was followed by Chong’s locking of the gate. To improve the hand on his weapons, Chong was using his right hand to apply a glove.  ,
Chong argued with the victim before slashing her on the arm while referring to the bluntness of the helicopter.  ,
The two kept arguing over why the marriage needed to end.  ,
At some point, the girl managed to run to the garden place. However, Chong ranted in and demanded information about the victim’s “ever loved him.” She replied well, according to the trial.
” The accused told her’ this death up’ in Mandarin, prompting the prey to state that she did not want to die with him”, the prosecutors said.  ,
Chong attempted to slice the girl, but she ended up hurting both her head and back.  , A ally heard the defendant’s cries and saw the victim defending herself with a pot.  ,
Chong intended to use a handsaw, which he found in the car door, to assault the victim while also picking up a 45.5″ blade. But he , gave up after finding it very unmanageable.  ,
The prey had the opportunity to escape through the open gate when Chong’s parents came home at this point.
However, the abuse continued. Chong slashed her on her up, and when the victim fell, he stamped on her, including on her head and back.
He simply stopped when his 72-year-old family caught up with him.
When authorities arrived at 1.39pm, the victim was covered in blood and accompanied by Chong’s family. Chong was detained after identifying himself as the perpetrator.  ,
VICTIM PERMANENTLY SCARRED
The victim suffered gashes to her right ear, head, hip, forearms, and around her attention. She also suffered bone fractures as well as stab wounds to her proper chest and slash wounds to her back.  ,
She had scars and skin alopecia, which were caused by the lacerations on her ear, neck, and around her eye, for two months while receiving a hospitalization leave.  ,
“( The victim ) has many scars on her back, arms and hand and has to wear long-sleeved tops or a jacket all the time, causing inconvenience in her client-facing job as a manager”, said the prosecution. Her medical expenses amounted to over S$ 24, 000 ( US$ 17, 900 ).
He added that the victim’s sleepiness is disturbed by numerous flashes of the abuse. The household moved to a new home because they worried about Chong’s potential assassination.  ,
According to the trial, Chong did not include mental health issues or substance use disorders.  ,
In sentencing explanations, the trial noted that the crime was remarkably premeditated.  ,
The accused lured the target to his parents ‘ home, opened the gates behind her, and set out the arms in anticipation of her arrival.  ,
He also made a plan to wear a glove to help him hold the kitchen knife and chopsticks.
Mitigating for Chong, Ms Khoo said that her customer had been driven by an” powerful feeling of betrayal”.  ,
On the defendant’s concerns about retaliation, Ms Khoo said that Chong has” completely accepted” that his marriage with her was around.  ,
He has said,” We firmly believe that our customer no more poses any danger to the victim in this case, and we are committed to focusing on his own home to make up for the lost day.”  ,
The man before your honor today is greatly regrettable for this deed, knowing that he must pay the price for his deeds.
The attorney added that Chong has n’t seen his brother since the offence, when he was only eight years old.  ,
” Five decades on, our lawyer’s son rarely has any recollection of our customer, if at all,” she said. She continued to support him and his family.  ,
Chong’s wife and sister were present in court for the reading.  ,
