Any anti-government presentations will probably lead to the illegal seizure of power, Nattawut Saikuar, an assistant to the perfect minister, has warned.
He made reference to Sondhi Limthongkul’s risk to hold ordinary events in the coming year, which some spectators have warned could lead to widespread demonstrations against the Pheu Thai-led government.
The danger comes from problems with the Thailand and Cambodia memorandum of understanding on mutual growth in the Gulf of Thailand signed in 2001.
Due to the public’s reservations about the president’s designed conversations with Cambodia over the posting of natural solutions in the Gulf of Thailand under the MoU, reviewers of the MoU are stepping up their names for the authorities to revoke the document.
Former United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship, also known as the red shirts, Mr. Nattawut, said he did not anticipate any time soon when there would be any street demonstrations against the govt. He even posted on Twitter.
According to Mr. Nattawut,” the majority of people’s plan is not the same as those that are trying to stir up nationalist sentiment,” the government has not yet resumed discussions with Cambodia over the contested maritime area.
He also provided a warning about potential anti-government demonstrations. ” Prior demonstrations against the Thai Rak Thai-led state and the Pheu Thai management culminated in illegal power seizures”, he said, referring to the 2006 and 2014 dictatorships.
The government does n’t want any groups to be confronted or challenged. The prime minister did make announcements about its accomplishments [on December 12] and lay out plans to boost the economy, he said.
Mr. Sondhi, the former leader of the now-defunct People’s Alliance for Democracy ( PAD), criticised Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra for her lack of knowledge at a forum held on Sunday at Thammasat University’s Tha Prachan campus. He also alleged that the government had broken the law.
Mr. Sondhi suggested holding a regular consumer forum starting in the new year as a good time to educate people. His statements were seen as a menace to attempts to overthrow the government.
In a press interview, Mr Sondhi, 77, said he has no decided if he will guide street protests. He claimed that the social climate does not allow for such a measure, but that it is about to do so.
