With special privileges and events planned to draw in more customers, the government is gearing up for its” Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Time 2025 .”

Under the program, the government aims to see more than 40 million foreign visitors arrive second year, generating 3.4 trillion ringgit in profits.

Suriya Jungrangreangkit, the secretary of transportation and president of the country’s tourism plan committee, claimed the government has given the sector a significant role because it generates both income and employment and significantly contributes to economic growth.

Before chairing a council meeting on Tuesday, he claimed the government had designated the year as” Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Time 2025″ and had set up a number of special events to draw more visitors.

After the conference, Mr Suriya said that it had been agreed that five strategies called Grand Festivity, Grand Moment, Grand Privilege, Grand Invitation and Grand Celebration may be launched to help the program.

According to Mr. Suriya, a deputy prime minister as well, the Hospitality and Sports Ministry will be in charge of putting together the campaign details and submitting them for authorization to the cabinet.

The government will also announce complete details of Remarkable Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Time 2025 next fortnight, including procedures to help airlines, hotels, online travel agencies and immigration privileges, Mr Suriya said.

Tourists can now make their travel plans in Thailand on a timeline that includes all the significant festivals and events, according to the minister.

Mr. Suriya emphasized the need for the important organizations to collaborate to improve Thailand’s reputation and ensure foreign tourists ‘ safety while they are staying there.

The year-long plan may include activities like the celebrated Songkran event in April and the MotoGP ethnicities in February and March, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

Thailand is investing in infrastructure, improving visa procedures, including a pan-Asean popular visa policy, according to the ministry, to reach the 3.4 trillion bass tourism revenue target for 2025.

According to the agency’s data, from Jan 1 to Nov 24, Thailand welcomed 31, 313, 787 international tourists whose accumulated saving amounted to roughly 1.46 trillion ringgit.

Foreign travelers made up the largest number of foreign visitors at 6, 096, 010, followed by 4, 443, 173 visitors from Malaysia, 1, 868, 802 from India, 1, 647, 328 from South Korea and 1, 455, 398 from Russia.

Recently, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra outlined three crucial state strategies–” Indian charms”, “hidden gem cities”, and “five must-dos” under the fresh Amazing Thailand tourism promotion initiative.

She said the” beauties” are the country’s distinctive cultural experiences, including food and design, which emphasise the nature of Thai society.

The “hidden stone towns” are lesser-known visitor attractions that will be promoted to boost income distribution.

Thai food, culture, and local products will be bundled together in the five “must-dos,” which are set to debut at the Thailand Winter Festival this quarter.

Ms. Paetongtarn emphasized that the program has a 7.5 % increase in tourism revenue and has set a 3.4 trillion baht target for the system, which includes over 205 million domestic trips and more than 40 million expected visitors for the year.
