AoT to pay B12b due to noise pollution from new runway

The third and most recent runway at Suvarnabhumi Airport will be impacted by noise pollution by Airports of Thailand ( AoT ). The airport will pay compensation of 12 billion baht ($ 12 billion ).

According to Mr. Kittiphon, residents who meet the payment requirements will be able to receive the money as the price is determined in due course.

In order to be ready to receive their compensation, those with dangerous land ownership will receive assistance from the government.

After the Pollution Control Department undertakes a study and confirms that those who live close to the third runway are actually being impacted by the noise pollution, Mr. Kittiphon claims they will receive compensation.
