A 12-year-old child was praised for rescuing a 17-year-old woman from a Bangkok gate on Friday evening.

In the capital’s Bang Kho Laem city, at 7:30 p.m., the incident took place.

Thanapat Bunkerd or Klao, a son, reported to the internet that his line had gotten tangled with anything below while he and his companions were fishing on the gate. He climbed over to mend it when a loud splash appeared.

He finally saw a girl, identified only as Natthamon, crying for help. Klao decided to jump in and save her because she was the only boy who was float.

Klao swam quite far to approach her, he said. The lady told him she had intended to die but had since changed her mind while she was in the ocean.

Once out of the valley, she was aware but exhausted. Shortly after, officers and Poh Teck Tung Foundation rescuers arrived at the scene and transported the woman to Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital for a check-up.

Klao claimed he felt compelled to assist despite the fact that he was frightened of drowning as well.

” Do n’t do this again because if I was n’t there, no one would have been able to help you”, he said to the girl.

Klao’s family, Suppawan Thaitanatrob, 31, told the media that she was glad of her father’s courage in helping people. Since he was just a younger child, she was concerned about his health as well.

The third-grade student at Wat Chan Nai School is a fresh warrior. Some people praised his bravery and deserving of respect on social media, with many others expressing their admiration for his history.
