A well-mannered silver criminal in Samut Sakhon removed his shoes from the store after receiving a notification.
Somlak Chanthongtae, 32, snatched two earrings for four ringgit in golden pounds, or 171, 600 ringgit from a store in Muang area, near Wat Ketmadi Sriwararam, about 200m from Rama II Road.
Mr Somlak, described in media reports as a “well-mannered criminal” for taking off his boots before access, left his boots behind in his eagerness to depart, police say.
He fled on foot to his bicycle, which he took to a group outside. He ditched the vehicle for a car, which he took to a golden factory in Mahachai, where he sold the earrings for 162, 000 ringgit.
