The Meteorological Department predicts rains for Bangkok and its surrounding area until Monday.
The firm on Friday issued a 10-day weather estimates, revealing varying circumstances globally.
Upper Thailand will experience morning fog and cooler weather through the north and northeast regions through the weekend, while eastward and southerly winds are forecast to bring moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to the lower Northeast, the west, the lower Central Region, and the lower South, causing thunderstorms in these areas, according to the report.
Till Monday, there will be scattered storms in Bangkok, with average temperatures of 25 to 36 degrees Celsius. From Tuesday through Thursday, cooler conditions and stronger gusts are forecast.
From Saturday till Thursday, a modest warm air mass from China may affect higher Thailand. First rain will provide means to cooler conditions, dropping by 2-4C in the Northeast and 1-3C in the north, central and eastern provinces, the agency said.
Precipitation will be more plentiful in southern Thailand and more isolated heavy rain. Strong winds are anticipated to have waves as high as 2 meters, making people in coastal areas prepared for them.
Residents of that region are advised to be careful while sailing during storms, especially in areas with heavy rainfall and risk of flash floods.
