More than 800 people have been thrown out of work by the abrupt closure of audio-video equipment manufacturer Funai ( Thailand ) Co in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Following the court’s acceptance of the company’s debt plan on October 24, Funai Electric, the company recently announced it would shut down its stock and hire all of its employees beginning on November 14. &nbsp,

The Thai subsidiary now cannot import materials used in production, according to a statement issued by Funai ( Thailand ) Co in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district on Nov 8. The shop is closing as a result.

The factory’s offices for laid-off employees had booths set up on Wednesday at the Pak Chong city office, the municipal labor business, and the provincial security office. &nbsp,

On Wednesday night, hundreds of workers showed up at the factory to sign paperwork with labor officials. No one from the company has so far received any settlement.

Apichart Suethuen, 52, a top production director, said Wednesday was the last working time for all &nbsp, 831 workers, including himself. On Wednesday, all disturbed workers would sign up for unemployment benefits.

He claimed that the business itself claimed he did not have the funds to pay them all off on Wednesday.

A person identified as Pucharas claimed to have spent more than 19 years working at the shop. On Monday she received a notice from the company’s human resource department saying she did get 190, 000 ringgit in payment. She was unsure of the pay date.

Prior to this, the company had promised payment in 90 times. &nbsp,

If settlement is not received within the required 90 days, workers would converge on the statewide labor office, according to Ms. Pucharas.

We should be compensated, but what we receive is simply a piece of paper and the factory’s dramatic shutdown. Due to our communities and duty, we are all severely affected. Some workers are old and do n’t know how to find a new job,’ ‘ Ms Pucharas said.

Different employees expressed concern that the staff ‘ payment is still not being paid in accordance with the labor laws. They were informed that the business lacked the funds to pay their legal costs.

A full of 831 staff are being laid off, according to Indian media reports.
