DPM ignores reports of a “done offer.”
Nothing has been officially announced yet, so the government has shrugged off reports that former finance minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong made the cut as the new chairman of the Bank of Thailand ( BoT ) board.
The personality of the new president is currently only a news report, according to vice perfect minister Phumtham Wechayachai, who spoke on Tuesday.
” Come never bring it up. Without first understanding the information, no one should discuss it. We do n’t want this to be blown out of proportion”, he said.
The council tasked with choosing the new BoT committee chairman officially finalized the nomination for the position on Monday, but it did not name the candidate in a public manner.
Despite fierce opposition from at least 300 finance academics and four original BoT governors, Mr. Kittiratt is also expected to take over the chairman position.
Porametee Vimolsiri’s term as president ended last month, and the choice committee convened for a second time on Monday for a second time.

Julapun Amornvivat, the lieutenant finance minister, said no candidate would have any issues working with the BoT. He denied any involvement by the government.
