A student at a military college in Kuala Lumpur was accused of voluntarily injuring his junior by using a steam iron last month and has entered a not-guilty plea on Friday ( Nov 8 ).  ,
Amirul Iskandar Norhanizan, 22, is accused of injuring Muhammad Salman Mohd Saiful Surash, 20, by pressing a heated heat iron on his chest after requesting that he metal his clothes.  ,
The two are enrolled in Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia ( UPNM).  ,
Since October 30, images of scorched marks on Mr. Salman’s system have been popular on social media.  ,
Amirul allegedly committed the offence on October 22 in a dorm at UPNM’s Military Training Academy at 11.45pm, according to the New Straits Times. According to local press, the 20-year-old victim finally reported the incident to the police on November 1.  ,  ,
” I confess no guilty”, Amirul, who was disadvantaged, was quoted as saying before Sessions Court Judge Egusra Ali after the cost was read over to him.
If found innocent, Amirul- who is being charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code- may remain jailed up to 10 times, fined and/or caned.  ,  ,
Judge Egusra Ali granted him bail of RM20, 000 ( US$ 4, 560 ) in two sureties, and scheduled Dec 27 for case management.
In response to the court’s initial pleas, Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Sabri Othman urged the judge to established loan at RM30, 000, citing the seriousness of Amirul’s reported crime.  ,
The victim was pressed with a heat hot iron, and he suffered a second-degree fire to the right part of his neck. The prosecution may be represented in the testimony that will support the crime, including those from his roommates, UPNM officers, and coaches.  ,
According to Mr. Mohd Sabri,” I ask for an attempt for the accused to not go near witnesses or email them to discuss the case.”  ,
Amirul pleaded for a lower loan volume after hearing Mr. Mohd Sabri’s argument because his parents are authorities retirees and he is still a student.
” I promise to go each court moving,” the 22-year-old was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times, to which the judge agreed to the lower loan amount.  ,
After reportedly asking his victim to iron his garments, Amirul allegedly grabbed a gas metal and pressed it on the right side of his chest, according to police inspector general Razarudin Husain. He continued, adding that the prey reportedly screamed in pain as a result of the event, which was claimed to have been witnessed by several other elders in the room.  ,
Authorities had also seized the iron as part of the sensor and had so much recorded statements from 16 individuals, including health officers, school staff, student officers and coaches, the New Straits Times reported.

The Ministry of Defence may be introducing steps and regulations to combat abuse that could cause injury or death among students of the military academy, according to national information agency Bernama on November 7.  ,
Adly Zahari, the lieutenant defense minister, claims that enhancing security will lead to more rangers watching the students and paying closer attention to their well-being.
