Singer ‘Tik Shiro’ faces charges over fatal crash

Beer was found to be over the legal limit when a truck struck a passenger and a motorcyclist.

In Bangkok next Thursday, authorities charged singer and musician Manaswin” Tik Shiro” Nuntasane with driving while intoxicated, which caused the death of a person and critically injured her brother.

A blood test found Mr Manaswin’s blood alcohol level on the day of the accident exceeded the constitutional level, Pol Col Naren Khrueangsanook, commander of the Khan Na Yao police depot, said on Tuesday.

Police have charged the 63-year-old song with drunken driving causing fatality and severe harm, reckless moving causing death and serious injury, and damage to others ‘ property.

According to the station’s chief, police will call the singer and the impacted party to inquire about compensation and will eventually discuss the matter with people prosecutors.

Around 4am on October 10, Tik Shiro’s vehicle struck a gentleman and a rider rider who was his sister on a bridge in the Sai Mai area of Bangkok. The 21-year-old motorist had left the vehicle unattended so that another sister could pick up a bottle of water.

The 28-year-old scooter rider was instantly killed in the collision, which also caused the motorist to fall about 10 meters below the bridge. The girl who had exited the bike to obtain her bottle remained unharmed.

Tik Shiro, 63, waited at the scene to retreat. He apologised heavily to the community and promised to take duty.

Due to the driver’s neck pain, police claimed a breathalyser was not used at the scene of the collision because the pilot was unable to blow into the system. He was taken to the police station to have a body test taken.

On Tuesday, the performer took part in the deceased’s burning at a Buddhist church in Bangkok.
