A popular law professor has warned that if all those accused of the Tak Bai murder case were allowed to walk free, the government’s standing and that Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s standing would decline.

The president’s failing to prosecute those accused of being responsible for the 85 deaths at the Tak Bai protest march 20 years ago, according to Prinya Thaewanarumitkul, chairman of the Law Center at Thammasat University, could be a significant blow to the prime minister, her leadership, and the Pheu Thai Party.

” Pheu Thai is promoting its function. The acceptance of Ms Paetongtarn is improving”, he said at a Tak Bai memory ceremony held at the Oct 14, 1973 Memorial.

” If the case is not handled in a straightforward manner, it will affect ( the prime minister )”, said Mr Prinya, who was a protest leader at the Black May rally in 1992.

The government’s and Pheu Thai’s position on this issue is what the consumer is watching, he said.

According to the former student leader, Ms. Paetongtarn had complete authority to direct officers to detain those accused under arrest warrants. Under the law, the&nbsp, excellent minister immediately supervised the police force.

In a poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration next month, the group was second in popularity to the People’s Party, and the reputation of Ms. Paetongtarn had increased as a result of Pheu Thai’s money flyer.

The Tak Bai case’s 20-year statute of limitations expires on October 25 of this year. 14 individuals have been identified and charged with being responsible for the murder overall. &nbsp,

On October 25, 2004, 85 protesters were killed either at the protest outside Tak Bai authorities station in Narrathiwat or while being transported to the navy’s Ingkhayutthaboriharn stronghold in Pattani’s Nong Chik area. 78 persons were suffocated on the way after being stacked like files on the backs of military vehicles.

Families of the victims and of the numerous people who were injured sued the&nbsp, authorities concerned. The Narathiwat Provincial Court eventually accepted the situation for prosecution in August of this year. &nbsp, &nbsp,

There are two teams of accused parties in the Tak Bai complaint. The first involves seven officials who were involved in issuing and carrying out the order that led to the activists ‘ deaths.

The second is the questioning of those who were killed while being transported to the military camp. They include six military truck drivers. &nbsp,

Phumtham Wechayachai, the deputy prime minister, and other vital Pheu Thai figures have stated that they are unsure of Gen Pisal’s location. &nbsp,

Gen Pisal and the others are listed on the arrest warrants in judge. Gen. Pisal is said to have originally traveled to the United Kingdom, with Gen. Siwa to Japan.

More than a fortnight after the arrest warrants were issued, police searched the homes of Pol Lt Gen Manoj and Wichom in Nakhon Si Thammarat on October 5. They came up empty-handed. Unsurpringly, neither was at house.

The Tak Bai murder occurred when Thaksin Shinawatra, Ms Paetongarn’s father, was the prime minister.
